This summer Upstagers are excited to be bringing the PHANTASMAGORICAL family musical CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG to the King's Hall in July 2023. The show that broke box office records in the West End lands in Ilkley with laughs galore and the magic of Chitty herself flying on the stage in one of the world's best loved stories brought to you by the award winning Ilkley theatre group.

An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima and dear old Grandpa. They soon discover the car has magical properties including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the diabolical Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself and will stop at nothing to ensure that he gets his way and keeps his kingdom of Vulgaria free from children to appease his Baroness. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious on an amazing adventure to defeat the Baron and his evil Childcatcher.

A show full of wonderful music, fabulous dancing and a mesmerising cast; this is a story that can be shared and loved through the generations.
