Ilkley Tools for Africa appeal for new premises

Local group Ilkley Tools for Africa is appealing for new premises or may have to stop the operation.

Ilkley Tools for Africa (ITFA) in association with WorkAid collects and refurbishes carpentry and metal-working tools and sewing machines that are then sent to training colleges in developing countries.

Since its formation eighteen years ago, Ilkley Tools for Africa has dispatched well over 50,000 tools and four hundred sewing machines.

Ian Condliffe from ITFA said; "We are having to vacate the workshop and garages where we refurbish and store the tools and are desperate to find alternative premises. If we cannot, we may have to close down our operation."

If you can offer or know of any garages or storage units that may be suitable, please contact Ian on 07831557689 or email ian@iancondliffe.co.uk
