Organised by Addingham Scouts, the Leeds Scare Trails return to Golden Acre Park in Bramhope this month and the main beneficiary for 2022 is Otley based charity, MINT - Men In Need Together, who work with local GP practices in the Wharfedale area.
The event is in its 2nd year after Otley Zombie Apocalypse and Ilkley Scare Trail joined forces in 2021. Scare Trails have raised over £30,000 in the last few years and 100% of the profit goes to local charities and good causes.
Over the Halloween Weekend, 29 and 30 of October, there will be two trails:
A free* family friendly Pumpkin Trail, both days 10am – 4pm, a trail of over 200 pumpkins with lots of games and activities. *Suggested donation £1
and a very un-friendly Frightmare Trail on the Saturday evening, with live and un-dead actors and special sound and lighting effects! Tickets £10 for 17+ and £7 for 16 and under.
A spokesperson for the Scare Trails said: “This year we are trialling timed arrival slots for the frightmare trail in order to reduce queueing times, so please try to arrive within your time slot.
“The frightmare trail is recommended for brave souls aged 13+ so parental discretion is required but anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). Sorry dogs are not permitted due to the nature of the trail.
