Appeal for witnesses following a robbery in Ilkley

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Ilkley last week.

The incident took place at a property on Blackthorn Road in Ben Rhydding at around 10:55am on Monday 29 March.

A female suspect gained access to the building and entered the victim’s flat, who is an 87-year-old man.

The suspect forcibly grabbed some money from the victim and pushed him off balance and fled the scene.

The suspect was described as a white female, in her 40s, 5ft 8”, thin build and with short dark hair.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, or has any further information is urged to come forward and speak to the police to assist with their enquiries.
