Bradford Council carol service to be broadcast online

Residents are being invited to watch online as the Lord Mayor of the Bradford district attends this year's city carol service at Bradford Cathedral.

It's taking place tonight - Monday 21st December at 6pm and is being streamed live via YouTube.

A limited pre-booked congregation will be at the venue for the event, in line with Covid-19 guidance on communal worship.

As well as Lord Mayor Councillor Doreen Lee, the Lord-Lieutenant Mr Ed Anderson will be there. The Bishop of Bradford, Right Revd Toby Howarth, will give the blessing.

The Lord Mayor of Bradford Cllr Doreen Lee, said:  "This year we have been unable to celebrate so many festivals and special events, but I am pleased that, via YouTube, people across the district and beyond will also be able to take part in and enjoy our wonderful City Carol Service.

"It has always been a highlight in our calendar and I'm sure it will continue to be so. I look forward to this special evening and I hope people will also watch and sing-along at home."
