Broughton Road area of Skipton in focus for local police

Residents in the Broughton Road area of Skipton are being urged to have their say in a survey to help police reduce crime and antisocial behaviour.

An online survey asks them about a number of issues, from how safe they feel to what their three main concerns are.

Skipton Neighbourhood Policing Team say they will use the information to address these concerns and make sure they deliver the best service for the community.

Police Community Support Officer Mark Allison said: “Like any other community, the Broughton Road area has issues that residents are keen for us to address.

“We’re doing a lot of ongoing work to help people there feel safe and stay safe, and building up a full picture of their concerns and experiences is an important part of that.”

The online survey takes around five minutes to complete and you will not be asked to provide your name.

Residents of the Broughton Road area can access it at https://survey.sogosurvey.com/r/BroughtonRoad

There will also be chance for residents to speak to the Neighbourhood Policing Team face-to-face at pop-up surgeries this month.

The next will be on Monday (4 April) between 10.30am and 11.30am at Broughton Road Community Centre, then in the parking area to the rear of Clifford Court/bottom of Midland Street between 11:45am and 12:45pm on the same day.

There will be further pop-up sessions at the same locations on Thursday (7 April). Between 1pm and 2pm, the team will be at at Broughton Road Community Centre, and then 2.10pm to 3.10pm in the parking area to the rear of Clifford Court/bottom of Midland Street.
