Family day in Keighley to celebrate magic of fairies and dragonflies

Cliffe Castle Park and Museum in Keighley is to host a family-friendly day next month where kids can go in search of fairies and dragonflies.

Children are also invited to dress up for the event which takes place on Sunday 17th July 11am-3pm with activities in the museum and in the park.

Use a sprinkling of magical fairy dust and the mystical power of dragonflies to find out where they live and go on a hunt for their special doors.

Take part in outdoor arts and crafts and look out for the dancing fairies. There will also be face painting and fairy stalls.

The event is being organised by Bradford Council’s Parks Department and its Museums and Galleries Service in conjunction with Cliffe Castle Support Group and Keighley Healthy Living

Keighley Lion’s Den, peer-to-peer support group have created the fairy and dragonfly doors.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Healthy People and Places said: “I’m sure families will have a great time exploring the museum and park area looking for fairies and dragonflies and trying to spot where they live. With arts, crafts and dancing fairies I hope lots of people come dressed up for this magical day.”
