Ilkley, Skipton and Keighley libraries remain open

Libraries are still open – with some changes

Whilst we are in a new period of national restrictions, many library services run by Bradford Council and North Yorkshire County Council will continue to be available.

Select and Collect will be available at North Yorkshire County Council-managed libraries including Skipton and people will be able to book library computers for essential use.  Libraries will continue to deliver books to customers receiving the Home Library Service. Books will be selected by the library team and dropped off at the doorstep. Libraries will contact customers to check that they still want this service during lockdown.

While Bradford Libraries will continue to provide their free ‘Order and Collect’ service, the booking of public computers has been suspended (previously available at Keighley not Ilkley). Users of the ‘Order and Collect’ service will be asked to observe the Government’s guidelines on face coverings, social distancing and using the hand sanitiser provided. Contact details will also be taken to comply with NHS Test and Trace.
