Ilkley BID announces new manager

Felicity Gains and Stuart Hyde QPM

The Ilkley BID board of directors has welcomed the appointment of Felicity Gains as Ilkley BID Manager from 1st February.

Felicity is taking over from predecessor Helen Rhodes, who has been leading the BID since its beginning in 2019. Felicity has lived and worked within the local area for much of her life and is bringing a wealth of experience including commercial event management and project management.

Felicity told us “I am looking forward to supporting Ilkley businesses and working with all stakeholders to achieve the best results we can to support the local economy. Following what has no doubt been a difficult year for many due to COVID-19 restrictions, I am eager to join the team, helping to reenergize businesses and drive the public back to our streets when it is safe to do so.”

Stuart Hyde QPM, BID Chairman, added “The recruitment process brought some excellent candidates for the role but we are convinced Felicity has the personal skills and experience needed to continue the great work achieved so far and we are delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Ilkley Business Improvement District (BID) is one of hundreds of BIDs set up across the country to support and improve the local trading environment for businesses. Ilkley BID is governed by a board made up of BID levy payers who represent the Ilkley BID area.
