Keighley murder victim named as 49 year old George Dore

A man found seriously injured at a property in Fell Lane in Keighley last week has been named by police, while three people have appeared in court charged over his death.

Officers were called to the house in the early hours of 8th April to reports of an injured man. Mr Dore was taken to hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.

Today, the 49-year old's family said in a tribute: “He was a kind, generous, well-liked local man who was much loved and will be greatly missed. A legend of the town that was loved.”

Three people have now been charged with his murder. Angela Thornton, 48, of Nightingale Street, Keighley, Anthony Atha, 53, of West Bank Close, Keighley and Leslie Walker, 46, of Nightingale Street, Keighley all appeared in front of a Magistrate yesterday (Monday). Earlier today they were remanded into custody following an appearance at Bradford Crown Court. A provisional trial date has been set for 27 September.
