Airedale Hospital has received a generous donation of £15,000 from Sovereign Health Care, a West Yorkshire based cash-plan provider, as part of its long-standing relationship with the hospital to support the health and well-being of local people.

Sovereign’s annual donation was warmly welcomed by Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, the dedicated charity of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.  Jodie Hearnshaw, head of AHCC, comments: “A huge thank you to Sovereign for this annual donation, which enables us to fund projects that are over and above NHS provision.  This means the added extras that really make a huge difference to patient care, employee well-being and community services.”

Amanda Stanford, Chief Nurse and Executive Director for Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals at Airedale Hospital said: “We are extremely thankful for this generous donation, some of which will go towards enhancing nurse training, especially in palliative care, as well as providing extra equipment for patient treatment.”

Sovereign’s Chief Executive, Neil McCallum, adds: “This recent donation demonstrates our continued commitment to supporting NHS services in the region. To be able to enhance staff training and help to provide additional equipment to the hospital, is something we are extremely proud of."
