Airedale children's ward set out on epic fundraising trek in Peru

A team from the children's ward at Airedale Hospital has set off on a walk of the Inca trail this month, aiming to raise thousands of pounds to help refurbish the outdoor area at the ward.

Rebecca Bell, Kirsty Randell, Suzi Vogt and Kim Varey set off over the weekend and will be walking the 46km route over the next week, covering more than 4,000m of altitude through Machu Picchu.

The team is doing it in support of Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, with funds raised going towards the refurb of outdoor spaces for the children's ward (Ward 17). Any remaining funds will be put into the ABC (Airedale Baby and Child) fund.

A massive good luck to the team, who have incredibly raised over £6,000 so far!

You can still donate - via their JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/ward17gotrekking.
