Businesses from the Aire Valley are being encouraged to put themselves forward for the 2023 Keighley & Airedale Business Awards, with entries closing early next month.

Established in 2013, the prestigious event celebrates and recognises remarkable accomplishments, innovative ideas, and unwavering commitment from local businesses.

This year it is supported by headline sponsor, Keighley-based Teconnex.

The 2023 event will see the introduction of several new awards, spanning different industries, in the hope that as many businesses as possible have the chance to enter and showcase their unique strengths and contributions.

Award categories include:

  • hair and beauty business of the year
  • health and wellbeing business of the year
  • tradesperson business of the year
  • family and/or independent business of the year
  • creative services business of the year
  • food, drink and entertainment business of the year
  • future star of the year
  • manufacturing and/or engineering business of the year
  • professional services business of the year
  • retailer of the year
  • social enterprise of the year.

Chairman of the awards Steve Burles told Rombalds Radio: “The Keighley & Airedale Business Awards provides an invaluable platform to celebrate hard work, innovation and integrity across our business community. The event itself serves as a catalyst to bring together like- minded individuals and organisations, fostering collaboration, as well as recognising and championing the achievements of local businesses.

“By participating in the Keighley and Airedale Business Awards, you not only have the opportunity to shine a spotlight on your accomplishments but to inspire and motivate others by sharing your journey.”

This year’s event will take place on Friday 29th September at Victoria Hall in Keighley.

BBC Look North weather presenter Paul Hudson will once again compere the awards, along with the support of the steering committee and civic guests.
