A long standing Keighley company’s plans to expand its warehouse have been approved.
Fibreline, based off Hard Ings Road, is the largest independently owned upholstery cushion filling manufacturer in the UK.
The company, which employs over 230 people in the town, recently revealed plans to expand its current warehouse by demolishing a redundant loading bay.
A planning application for the demolition and the construction of 682 square metre extension to the warehouse has been approved by Bradford Council this week.
The application said: “The proposal is considered to be an improvement on the existing storage arrangement, allowing Fibreline to improve their current warehousing facilities and therefore supporting the operations of the established business as well as creating a more cohesive and aesthetically pleasing site.”
Approving the scheme, planning officers said: “The warehouse extension is considered to represent an acceptable form of development, playing a role, albeit modest, in the economic prosperity of the district.”
