Keighley GPs team up for Parkrun takeover

Doctors from the Modality and WACA practices across the area are volunteering as GPs take over the Cliffe Castle Parkrun this weekend to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHS.

The event will be a health and wellbeing extravaganza, with support from various local organisations involved in running groups and activities.

Runners will also be able to get a healthcheck on the day.

The Parkrun at Cliffe Castle takes place every Saturday morning at 9am, with this Saturday's event (8th July) focussing on health.

Haworth GP Dr Jo Buckley, who will be the race director on the day, said, “We want people to celebrate the 75th Birthday of the NHS and what better way to do this than getting up and volunteering on a Saturday morning!

"Please come and run, walk or volunteer but above all get active – it’s great for your health!”

Those wanting to participate in the Parkrun need to sign up online if they don't already have a Parkrun barcode. More information about the course is also available at parkrun.org.uk/cliffecastle/
