Is There Something I Should Know

Keighley Leisure Centre closed again due to new coronavirus restrictions

Bradford Council-run Keighley Leisure Centre is to remain shut for an unknown period of time following the updated Covid-19 guidance from the government and local public health officials.

In a statement the council said that following the government announcement late last night and the implementation of local restrictions relating to the control of COVID-19, The Leisure Centre, Keighley would be 'closed with immediate effect until further notice'.

All customers who have booked fitness sessions and exercise classes will be contacted directly and offered a full refund. The online booking system has been suspended until further notice.

The updated guidance for Bradford district as well as other parts of West Yorkshire, East Lancashire and Greater Manchester includes a requirement for indoor gyms, fitness and dance studios, sports courts and indoor swimming pools to be closed.

There are also new restrictions which prevent people from more than one household meeting indoors or in private gardens. Read more here.
