No buyer found for Skipton's Keelham Farm Shop

Administrators have today confirmed that no buyer has been found for Skipton's Keelham Farm Shop and the business will now be wound down.

The shop closed its doors in late December and there was hope a new buyer would take on business, however a statement on Friday afternoon from Jonny Marston, Managing Director in Alvarez & Marsal’s Restructuring team in Leeds, confirmed the news that the shop won't reopen.

The statement said: “Following the appointment of Joint Administrators from Alvarez & Marsal to Keelham Farm Shop Limited on 5 January, the Joint Administrators have been exploring options for the sale of the business as a going concern. While interest was received, this was not capable of being delivered within the relevant time scales.

"Regrettably, the business is now being wound down. All employees have been made redundant, effective from 18 January 2024. The Joint Administrators are continuing to work with the employees to assist them with claiming their entitlements and obtaining other employment. Any parties interested in taking on any of the employees are invited to contact the Joint Administrators.

The Joint Administrators are continuing to look to realise the assets of the company, including freehold property, stock, and plant machinery. Any interested parties should contact the Joint Administrators.”

Keelham Farm Shop opened in June 2015 as part of a £4m redevelopment of the former Nicholas Smiths garage site on Gargrave Road and was then sold by its original owners in 2020.
