British Transport Police says a person was pronounced dead at the scene after an incident at Cononley railway station this morning.
Services between Shipley and Skipton on the Airedale line were suspended until early afternoon by Northern today (Tuesday 18th July) while emergency services attended the scene.
In a statement, British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Cononley railway station at 9.55am today to a report of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
