Trains on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway are now only running from Ingrow to Oxenhope until March as major renovations get underway at Keighley station.

Platforms 3 and 4 closed last week as part of the refurbishment of the station by Network Rail which is scheduled to last until December 2024.

Across the station work being done includes repairs and improvements to the station forecourt canopies, renewal of access ramps, repair of roofs and other structural projects.

During the Network Rail works, the KWVR team will be working on other aspects of Keighley station, undertaking some much-needed maintenance and progressing several projects. The ramp access from the footbridge to Platform 4 will be completely renewed, the old Shipley Junction Signal Box will be refurbished structurally and cosmetically, and the Water Tower project will begin. There will also be some heavy track maintenance to the switches and crossing at the Oxenhope end of the station.

Volunteer-run Keighley and Worth Valley Railway services will continue throughout the project, with a free replacement bus service in operation between Keighley and Ingrow West Station on running days for KWVR passengers. The vintage bus will collect and drop off passengers from the bus stop adjacent to Keighley station forecourt on the A6035.
