Yorkshire Health & Wellbeing Festival unites community

Jodi Law and David Robertson

Get ready for a day of holistic wellness and community spirit at the Yorkshire Health & Wellbeing Festival in Keighley's Victoria Hall on Saturday, 4 November, from 10am to 4pm.

It promises to be a day filled with rejuvenation, self-discovery, and fun for the entire family.

The Yorkshire Health & Wellbeing Festival brings together practitioners, clairvoyants, tarot readers, different form of massage and healers from all across the region. Explore a diverse array of complementary health therapists, many offering taster sessions and delightful samples available for purchase on the day.

Early entrants will be offered Leisure Centre vouchers for free swimming or saunas which can be used on another day and anywhere across the district.

For those that stay till the end, there’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in a giant sound bath, an experience that will resonate throughout the entire venue with soothing vibrations washing over everyone.

“In collaboration with local authorities, we have been working night and day to select the best stall-holders we can find and get the word out to across the whole area” says David Robertson of Blue Sky SEO Marketing and co-festival organiser. “I’ve used all my personal contacts to pull favours and distribute leaflets wherever possible and all that we now seek are a few volunteers on the day to help exhibitors unload, guide people to the rooms for workshops and simply be an ambassador for the town. We even have a local councillor welcoming people at the door” he continued.

“And this is just the beginning! We be organising many more events in the area including at Victoria Hall which is a fabulous venue, but for now, we ask people to mark Saturday 11 May 2024 and Saturday 9 November 2024 for the next two health and wellbeing festivals in Keighley.”

At the festival, there will have the chance to learn about the incredible healing potential of nature's remedies and treatments. It's an opportunity to transform your life with holistic wellness by simply visiting each stand and finding out what’s best for them.

With over 50 stalls, the day includes Hatha yoga with energy medicine, an hour-long sound bath, pilates for core strength and balance, full power cacao ceremony to connect with nature and hand reflexology for relaxation and pain relief.

As well as engaging talks like the Hidden Secrets of Water, there’ll things for the kids too.

Jodi Law, co-organiser, promises that it will be a day of well-being, relaxation, enlightenment as well as a little pre-Christmas shopping. “I’d like to remind everyone that we were told by various people not to bother putting on this type of event in Keighley, but the response from local people has been heartening. I actually get quite emotional thinking about it and certainly will be on the day. I can’t wait to hear the poem that will be performed to everyone by a local disabled lady and am sure it will be up-lifting and really set us up for the day. We’re now a social enterprise and thrilled to be contact by MOT4ME, a start up that provide s MOTs for people and will be operating in the Keighley area soon after the festival. They’ll be attending with a table too. We funded most things ourselves to make it happen and this has meant many sacrifices for our own personal finances and family time. I think people will be quite surprised as they enter the main hall and I really do hope people spend time talking to the exhibitors and be open-minded about all the various options open to them. There are so many ways the body can heal itself for certain conditions if only people tried. And that’s what the day is mostly about, introducing lots of people to other forms of healing and self-love and let’s face it, I everyone needs a little self-love from time to time. Don't miss the chance to experience a day of holistic wellness, community and personal transformation”.
