Dressed for Love, an exhibition of wedding dresses through the decades opens on Wednesday, 31 July, in Skipton, with a special evening, Say Yes To The Dress, on Friday.
Holy Trinity Church on Skipton High Street will be filled with a stunning display of bridal gowns old, new, borrowed but not blue - although organisers say they will have a beautiful red dress in the collection!
A spokesperson said:
"Working in partnership with Craven Museum, Craven College and Cinderella’s Bridal Shop, we are delighted to showcase over twenty wedding outfits from 1890 through to the present day.
"Entry free but donations to Holy Trinity Heating Fund welcome."
The exhibition is from 31st July to 4th August, open 10am until 5pm each day.
On the evening of Friday 2nd August, Say Yes To The Dress is an evening of music and readings that will give you food for thought if you are planning your own wedding plus a fashion show featuring recent brides in their beautiful gowns. Plus hear from Skipton’s own Fairy Godmother, Mandy Abramson, founder and owner of Cinderella’s Bridal Boutique.
Tickets are £5 available from https://www.eventbrite.com/e/say-yes-to-the-dress-tickets-951450743787?
