Yorkshire Water has informed Addingham residents about the next phase of work happening on Low Mill Lane in the village.
The water company is working with partner M Group to increase stormwater storage and improve the water quality in the river Wharfe. To make this happen, Low Mill Lane will need to be closed for 24 hours a day from Monday 5 January to Monday 19 January 2026. Bradford Council has approved this closure to ensure everyone’s safety while they carry out these critical infrastructure upgrades.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Water said:
"We understand this road closure might cause some inconvenience, and we're in touch with residents to minimise any disruptions. If you have special access needs or concerns during this time, please reach out to us. We’re here to help make sure you and your visitors can get where you need to go.
"Thanks so much for your patience and understanding during this essential work. If you're travelling in the area, please plan ahead."
