A Keighley café has been left facing extensive damage after being broken into overnight.
The Endless Kettle revealed this morning (Monday 19th October) that alcohol and other stock had been stolen from its bar, while belongings had been thrown around the premises. The independent café had hosted a wedding just a day earlier before the team were contacted by police this morning about the break-in. Mike and The Endless Kettle team said: “Absolutely heartbroken this morning. “Our café has been broken into again, and this time the damage is extensive. "Alcohol stolen, the bar stripped of stock and our belongings thrown everywhere. “Yesterday we were celebrating a wedding in this very space. "This morning we were called by the police to find this. "It’s hard to put into words how that feels. “We’re a small, independent business. "We pour so much work and love into this place, and seeing it treated like this is devastating.” The café said it is likely to remain closed today while forensic examinations are carried out. The team added: “We cannot touch anything or begin clearing up until they’ve finished. "Please bear with us, we’ll confirm opening arrangements as soon as we can. “Thank you to the member of the public who raised the alarm, and to the police for attending. “And to our lovely customers, thank you for your patience and support. It means so much, especially on a morning like this.”
