Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision that occurred on Keighley Road in Skipton last night (12th August).
It happened at approximately 7:10pm outside the Bay Horse Pub near McDonald's and involved a blue Honda motorcycle, ridden by a local man in his 30s, who was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
It is believed the motorcycle was being ridden at high speeds through Skipton town centre shortly before the collision.
The road was closed until 12.30am to allow for detailed investigation work.
A police spokesperson said:
“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the motorcycle being ridden in Skipton prior to the incident, or who has relevant dash-cam or CCTV footage from the town centre or surrounding areas that could assist our investigation.
