A body has been found in the River Wharfe, believed to be that of missing man Anthony Smith.
Officers searching for Anthony Smith recovered a body from the river in Bolton Abbey.
The discovery was made by member of the public today (Wednesday 24th July).
Although formal identification is yet to take place, officers believe the body is of missing Essex man Anthony Smith.
A police spokesperson said:
"Anthony’s family have been informed of today’s news and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
"We are not currently treating the death as suspicious."
