Music festival raises over £3,000 for Airedale Hospital appeal

ConFest music festival

ConFest music festival, held at the Riverside campsite in Cononley, celebrated its fifth year with record attendance and fundraising success.

The 2025 event supported Airedale Hospital and Community Charity’s Emergency Department Appeal for the second consecutive year.

On the day, the charity team ran activities including a tombola, hook a duck, and a bucket collection, while the ConFest team made an additional post-event donation.

Together, these efforts raised £1,290.

Combined with last year’s fundraising, festival goers have now contributed £3,411 to the appeal across 2024 and 2025.

Organiser Jodie Mitchell said:

“We love welcoming new and returning faces to the festival and watching it grow year on year.

"Airedale is my family’s closest hospital and will be for lots of our attendees.

"Being able to raise such a fantastic amount for a local cause through the generosity of the people attending brings us a huge sense of pride as organisers.”

The Emergency Department Appeal aims to enhance bereavement facilities, the paediatric waiting area and the resuscitation area, focusing on creating calmer and safer spaces for patients.

Carla Weatherall, Charity Fundraiser, said:

“Thank you to everyone who attended ConFest this year.

"You have made a real difference to our appeal and we’re so grateful to you all.

"Although this year was a little soggy, there was still an incredible turnout which was so fantastic to see.”

Airedale Hospital and Community Charity runs events throughout the year to raise funds for its appeals.
