Golf fanatics are invited to the 2025 Yorkshire Invitational hosted by Ryder Cup Captain Mark ‘Jesse’ James on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th September.
Once again held at Ilkley Golf Club, this year’s event introduces the inaugural Celeb-AM, where sporting icons will take to the fairways. Football legends Robbie Fowler, Lee Sharpe, and Gordon Strachan will serve as team captains, adding star power to the event. The Pro-Am will once again feature top golfing talent, including professionals Fraser Mann, Chris Hanson and Ben Mason, as they compete alongside amateurs in one of Yorkshire’s most anticipated golf events.
Mark ‘Jesse’ James had an impressive professional career that included eighteen tournament victories on the European Tour and finished inside the top five in The Open Championship on four occasions. Mark represented GB&I and Europe in the Ryder Cup seven times and went on to captain Europe in 1999 at the infamous ‘Battle of Brookline’. As an honorary life member at Ilkley Golf Club, Mark is sure to make The Yorkshire Invitational even more memorable for all those involved.
As well as attracting well-known golfers and celebrities, the Yorkshire Invitational offers a fantastic opportunity for business figures to connect and network in a stunning environment. The Pro-Am has proven to be a fantastic opportunity for businesses to offer corporate incentives and team-building days, with unique sponsorship options including five hole-in-one competitions to win as much as £5,000 each.

There’s plenty to enjoy off the course at the 2025 Yorkshire Invitational as organisers SGH Sporting Events explains:
“The newly updated spectator area features BBQ food from Grill and Ember, supercar displays from Lamborghini Leeds and McLaren Leeds, and watch our trick shot expert display his skills.
“If watching the professionals inspires you to elevate your own game, Callaway will be on hand offering club fittings for spectators, giving you the chance to try out the latest Elyte driver.
“SGH and event partner Ashleigh Signs are proud to announce that Macmillan Cancer Support has been selected as the charity partner for the 2025 Yorkshire Invitational. A charity close to both our hearts, we’ll be raising funds throughout the event to support their life-changing work.”
The first day consists of a morning Pro-Am where one golf professional plays with three amateurs and an afternoon Celeb-Am where three players will play with a sporting celebrity. On the Thursday, the Pro-Am tournament sees one professional and three amateurs play where one golf professional will be crowned the Yorkshire Invitational champion.
Admission is free for those wanting to attend, so book your tickets today.
