Drake and Macefield have announced via Facebook that they have been named finalists for the Countryside Alliance awards.
Drake and Macefield are nominated along with four other butchers for the 'Butcher' category in the northern region.
They are up against:
- Dales Traditional Butchers Ltd, Cumbria
- Holmside Farm Fresh, County Durham
- Home Farm Butchers Shop, Cumbria
- R & H Murray Ltd, west Yorkshire
Drake and Macefield announced their nomination via facebook saying:
"We have some exciting news!
"We have been shortlisted for a countryside alliance award.
"Please help and go and vote for us."
The Countryside Alliance awards highlight the best businesses in rural areas across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Countryside Alliance Awards are driven by the general public.
It starts with the nominations phase where you nominate as many businesses as you like across their six categories.
From there, they open to a public vote where you help choose the Champions.
