A former performing arts student from Craven College has entered the Big Brother house, with episodes airing every day on ITV2.
Sam Ashby (27), better known as Smashby, will feature on ITV2's Big Brother UK 2025, which began last night (29th September).
Sam studied performing arts at Craven College, Skipton, and has since become a firm favourite on the Pride scene, building a name for themselves as an anti-bullying ambassador.
Smashby, a rising local pop star, returned home for Skipton pride earlier this year, performing some of their original songs on Skipton high street.
Sam talked about growing up in Skipton during an interview on the Big Brother launch show, saying:
"Growing up in Skipton as a queer person, there's no one that is that openly queer and then especially... this openly fabulous."
Now a zumba instructor, Sam has previously hosted classes at Craven Leisure Centre.
Entering the house, viewers can watch Sam every night on ITV2 at 9pm. Craven College wished them the 'best of luck' as they shared the news on their facebook account.
