Skipton Pride to be held on the High Street this summer

Skipton Pride is back later this year.

Skipton Pride has announced it will be returning to the town this August.

The much loved event will take place on Sunday 3rd August.

And for the first time in history of the town, the Pride celebrations will be held on the High Street.

Organisers took to social media to reveal the news:

"The High Street is at the heart of the community in Skipton.

"It’s the perfect place to host a big celebration of diversity, identity, equality, love, and of course it will be free entry.

"Today is the last day of LGBTQ+ History Month in the UK, and as we reect on all of the brave and courageous individuals who have contributed to progressing civil rights, we also look forward to the future."

Skipton Pride has just become a registered Charity.

This will help to create a sustainable model for the event to return in 2026 and beyond.

The organisers are looking for businesses to sponsor this year's event.

Please get in touch via the Skipton Pride Facebook or Instagram pages if you are interested in sponsoring the event.

Anyone can donate £5 to the new Skipton Pride charity, just text the word SKIPTON to 70450.
