Skipton teenager impresses in first F2 stock car season

16-year-old Jack Teal from Skipton has completed a remarkable first season competing in F2 stock car racing, making an immediate impact on the national circuit.

Jack Teal, one of the youngest drivers in the category, made history this year by becoming the youngest competitor ever to win a feature final.

Over the course of the season, he also secured two heat wins and a grand national victory, giving him four race wins in total during his debut campaign.

Teal’s strong performances throughout the season earned him several honours, including the Under-25s Championship title and second place in the British Championship. He also finished the year as the highest-graded driver within his club.

What makes his achievements even more notable is that Teal is still in full-time education and has not yet obtained his road driving licence. He regularly competes against drivers with decades more experience — and often finishes ahead of them.

Teal first got involved in motorsport at the age of eight through remote-control car racing, before moving into karting at 11. He stepped up to the F2 stock car class earlier this year, where his rapid progress has already attracted attention within the sport.
