Skipton will be featured in an upcoming episode of Yorkshire Great and Small with Dan and Helen this evening.
The episode will air on Channel 5 tonight (2 October 2025) at 8 pm.
The episode, titled Lady Anne’s Way, follows the presenters Dan Walker and Helen Skelton as they explore Skipton’s heritage and its role in the life of Lady Anne Clifford.
They begin at Skipton Castle, the birthplace of Lady Anne, and trace one of the routes she once walked, delving into her legacy and the places she influenced across the Yorkshire Dales.
Viewers will see local landmarks, hear stories from the area, and follow the journey through countryside, from Skipton onward towards the hills.
The episode also links aspects of Skipton’s history and landscape with regional narratives that tie into the community’s connection to Yorkshire’s past and present.
