Remembrance Day is fast approaching and many services are taking place, Skipton will also be hosting a celebration on 10th November. So here is everything you need to know about the approaching service.
Skipton Town Council and the Skipton Branch of the Royal British Legion are hosting the annual Remembrance Sunday parade and church service.
Guests who wish to participate in the parade should assemble on Bunkers Hill (just off Newmarket Street) no later than 10.15am.
If you are not wanting to march then Skipton Town Council are asking people to congregate at 10.45am at the war memorial on Skipton High Street for the playing of the Last Post and laying of wreaths at 11.00am.
The following is the running order for the service:
09:00AM – Road Closures in place
10:30am - Parade leaves the Town Hall Car Park
10:50am - Parade arrives at the Cenotaph
11:00am - 2-minute silence followed by wreath laying
11:15am – Holy Trinty Church service starts
12:00 – 12:15pm - Church Service finishes and parade lines up at The Castle
12:15pm - Parade leave down the High Street and onto Otley Street
12.30pm - Parade arrives back in Town Hall Car Park
12:45pm - Troop Inspection in Town Hall Car Park
