South Craven School gain highest proportion of top results in years

South Craven School has announced its 2025 A Level and Level 3 vocational results

Over half of Level 3 grades were awarded at A*-B or Distinction*/Distinction.

The school says this is its highest proportion of top grades in several years.

Headteacher Martyn Hill said:

“I am so proud of the achievements of this year group, especially considering the challenges they have faced throughout their time in education.

"I want to congratulate each one of them and extend my thanks to parents, families, and staff for their support.”

Head of Sixth Form Caroline Taylor commented:

“This year group have been a pleasure to work with.

"They have all shown such resilience over the last two years.

"Their hard work has paid off and they are now ready for their next adventure.”

According to the school, students have secured university places at institutions including the University of Manchester, UCLAN, the University of Hull and Manchester Metropolitan University, studying subjects such as English Literature and Creative Writing, Acting, Paramedic Science, Politics, and Filmmaking.

Others will take up apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships in fields such as marketing, engineering, retail, and accountancy, with organisations including D & M Creative, Fives Landis Engineering, Tesco and Stirk Lambert & Co.

The school is offering its post-results advice and guidance service to students.
