The annual Skipton Business Awards took place last night, recognising some of the very best businesses that the town has to offer.
Held at the Town Hall, the awards ceremony brought together 150 people from Skipton’s business community for an unforgettable evening of celebration and recognition.
Skipton BID relaunched the Skipton Business Awards last year to showcase the amazing businesses which choose to base their business in the town. Neil Roe, Chair of Skipton BID said:
“The Skipton Business Awards were created to recognise the diverse businesses that drive our local economy.
"This year’s winners are a true reflection of the dedication, creativity, and resilience of our business community, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate their success.”
The judging panel said it was overwhelmed by the quality of the entries and it was a tough job to choose the finalists.
They said to choose a final winner for each category was exceptionally difficult and awarded two special recognition awards.
This year the 12 awards included the celebration of the businesses which had traded for over 20 years in the town.
Sarah Howsen, BID Manager, said:
“We thought it was really important to celebrate the businesses that have chosen to trade in the town for so many years.
"They have survived many difficult economic challenges and come through the other side, and this shows the dedication and resilience of the small business which trade in Skipton.”
