Several weekend bus services in Skipton and the wider Craven area are changing for the winter as the clocks go back this weekend.
The changes will see some routes shortened or suspended, while a number of popular services to the Yorkshire Dales will continue operating throughout the winter months.
From Saturday 24th October, the Saturday 75 service between Skipton, Malham and Settle will operate between Skipton and Malham only.
Buses will depart Skipton Bus Station at 9.45am, 1.45pm and 3.45pm, returning from Malham at 10.30am, 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
Meanwhile, Saturday DalesBus service 80, which connects Lancaster, Bentham, Ingleton, Ribblehead and Hawes, has now finished for the winter.
Following its successful reintroduction three years ago, the winter Sunday service between Skipton and Malham will return once again.
Cravenlink service 864 will operate every Sunday throughout the winter, departing Skipton at 10.50am, 12.50pm and 3.50pm.
Return journeys from Malham will depart at 11.40am, 2.40pm and 4.40pm, with buses leaving Gargrave at 12.01pm, 3.01pm and 5.01pm.
The final service will continue beyond Skipton to Ilkley and Bradford.
However, several other Sunday services will continue operating, including:
-
Service 72: Skipton to Grassington
-
Service 864: Bradford, Ilkley, Skipton and Malham
-
Service 873: Ilkley, Bolton Abbey and Skipton
-
Service 874: Wetherby, Leeds, Ilkley, Grassington, Kettlewell and Buckden
The first bus from Buckden on service 874 will now depart 10 minutes earlier at 12.25pm, allowing passengers to connect with the 1pm service from Grassington to Skipton.
Passengers are also being reminded that the maximum single fare remains £3, with under-19s able to travel for £1.
Eligible elderly and disabled passengers can continue to use their concessionary bus passes for free travel.
Full details of the winter timetables are available at www.dalesbus.org/sundays.
