Two people in their 20s have been killed in a road collision on the Addingham bypass on Thursday morning.

West Yorkshire Police say emergency services were called at 8.10am to a collision between a lorry carrying livestock and two other vehicles.

The drivers of both the cars - a man in his 20s and a woman in her 20s - were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry was taken to hospital with significant injuries and remains in hospital.

The A65 between the two Addingham junctions will remain closed through Thursday afternoon (18th February) while investigation work continues.

Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch. If you can help you should contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101, and quote log number 284 of 18th February.
