Craven Wildlife Rescue seeks new trustees

Craven Wildlife Rescue has announced that it is seeking three new Trustees as part of its plans for future growth and development.

The Skipton-based charity cares for almost 500 animals each year, including hedgehogs, owls, swans, otters, and birds of prey.

In recent years, it has invested in animal care facilities at its rescue hospital and strengthened its links with agencies, mentors, and experts.

Co-founder Penny Hunt said the next step for the organisation is to expand its facilities, either at the current site or elsewhere, while also developing its education activities.

She explained that additional Trustees would play an important role in helping the charity to achieve its long-term vision.

The organisation is looking for Trustees with expertise in veterinary practice or animal care, events and fundraising, business and legal matters, architecture, or technology.

Earlier this year, Craven Wildlife Rescue welcomed Patrick Grant, best known as a judge on the BBC programme The Great British Sewing Bee, as its first Patron.

Applications for Trustee roles should include a covering letter and details of relevant experience, sent by email to cravenwildliferescue@gmail.com.

The closing date for applications is Friday 31 October 2025.
