Robertshaw’s Farm Shop has raised more than £3,500 for local hospice charity.
The farm shop raised the funds through customer donations collected at its tills in the Thornton branch.
Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice Charity will receive the donation.
The fundraising effort, which has taken place over recent months, reflects the community-focused approach that has become a hallmark of the family-run business.
Owner James Robertshaw said:
"We are delighted to have raised so much for a great local cause that means so much to our staff and customers.
"We have recently added additional collection buckets to tills at our Skipton Robertshaws store, and so hope to raise even more in the future."
Robertshaw’s Farm Shop, established in 1929 and still family-owned, has long been known for its commitment to local produce and community engagement.
Earlier this year, the company expanded into Skipton, taking over the former Keelham Farm Shop premises.
The new site officially opened on 27th March 2025 and features a butcher, bakery, deli, greengrocer, florist, and café, offering a full farm shop experience under one roof.
The move has been warmly received by local shoppers, many of whom were already familiar with the Thornton outlet’s reputation for quality and service.
The fundraising initiative adds to Robertshaw’s ongoing contribution to the region, not only through retail but also through community support.
With the introduction of the new collection points in Skipton, the farm shop hopes to build on its recent success and continue supporting local causes across Craven and West Yorkshire.
Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is located on Keighley Road, Oxenhope (BD22 9HJ), serving people in Airedale, Wharfedale, Craven and parts of north Bradford.
