Skipton pub shortlisted for national pub awards

Woolly Sheep Inn, Skipton.

The Woolly Sheep Inn has been named as a finalist for the 2026 award for pubs.

The National Pub and Bar Awards recently shared their 2026 finalist for each region.

The Woolly Sheep Inn on Sheep Street in Skipton was named a finalist for the North Yorkshire region. 

The pub owned by Timothy Taylors is up against two other North Yorkshire pubs, including The Plough, Wombleton
The Plum & Partridge which is located in York.

Timothy Taylor's Brewery shared the news on their Facebook page.

The team added:

“We’re absolutely delighted to announce that we have been nominated for the 2026 National Pub and Bar Awards.

"A huge thank you to our amazing team and wonderful customers your support means everything and makes achievements like this possible.

"We can’t wait to see what happens next.”

The awards ceremony will take place in London for the 10th anniversary of the awards on 10th June.

The 94 County Winners will be announced live at the event, as well as the Highly Commended venues for each area, collecting their certificates.

In total, 252 pubs and bars listed below have been shortlisted throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine, said:

“Our bigger and better format that debuted in 2025 was such a success, we can’t wait to roll it out again this year.

"We just want to do what we can to spread the word about these brilliant businesses.”
