Two teenage boys have been arrested and a stolen quadbike recovered following an early morning incident that ended in Skipton.
North Yorkshire Police say they received a call at around 4.30am on 24th February from a member of the public reporting a quadbike and a silver Volvo travelling at speed towards Settle from the direction of Stainforth.
Around five minutes later, officers received a second report from the owner of the quadbike stating that it had been stolen.
With support from the National Police Air Service helicopter, officers tracked the quadbike through the Malham and Gargrave areas.
Pursuit-trained officers then followed the vehicle after it failed to stop and continued towards Skipton.
At approximately 5.07am, the quadbike came to a stop just off Skipton High Street.

Two boys, aged 16 and 17 and both from West Yorkshire, were arrested on suspicion of theft.
They remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
The silver Volvo that was reportedly travelling in convoy with the quadbike was later found abandoned in the Helliwell area.
Police have thanked the member of the public who first reported the vehicles, saying the information helped officers respond quickly and locate them.
