The local pub has raised £865 through walks and quiz nights to fund a respite break for a family in need.
The Principle Trust Children’s Charity is delighted to recognise the incredible support it has received throughout the year from The Bull at Broughton, near Skipton, part of the Brunning and Price group.
The team at The Bull have gone above and beyond in their commitment to supporting local children and families by hosting a series of monthly guided walks, starting and finishing at the pub and taking in the stunning grounds of the Broughton Hall Estate. Walkers were invited to make a donation to The Principle Trust and were rewarded at the finish line with a well-earned bacon sandwich – a simple but brilliant idea that proved hugely popular with the local community.
In addition to the walks, The Bull at Broughton also hosted a monthly quiz night, with all proceeds donated to The Principle Trust as their chosen local children’s charity.
Together, these initiatives have raised an outstanding £865, enough to fund a free week-long respite break and food hamper for a family in need. These breaks offer vital time away for families facing mental health challenges, disability, illness, trauma, or financial hardship, giving them the opportunity to rest, reconnect, and create positive memories together.
