Local venues nominated for regional tourism awards

Skipton Boat Trips, the Rendezvous Hotel and Keighley & Worth Valley Railway are among the attractions and venues shortlisted in this year's White Rose Awards.

The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa at Bolton Abbey, The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa and the Devonshire Fell at Burnsall are also among the nominees.

The White Rose Awards, organised by regional tourism body Welcome to Yorkshire, will take place virtually this year and be streamed live online from 7pm on Monday 23rd November.

Skipton Boat Trips is shortlisted in the 'small visitor attraction of the year' category alongside Bolton Castle, Bradford Cathedral, Ingleborough Cave, Mother Shipton's, Studfold Adventure Trail and the World of James Herriot in Thirsk.

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway's Gin Express Experience, organised by Bronte Bars and Events, is nominated for the 'tourism event award', where it goes up against Banana Kick, Freedom Festival, York Maze, Rhubarb Festival and York Balloon Fiesta.

Skipton's Rendezvous Hotel and The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa at Bolton Abbey are both shortlisted for the 'ethical, responsible and sustainable tourism award', along with Bert's Barrow, the National Centre for Birds of Prey and Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens.

Burnsall's Devonshire Fell is up against six others to be named Yorkshire's small hotel of the year.
