A Skipton pub has been named Yorkshire Pub of the Year.
The Beer Engine on Albert Street won the accolade from CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale) - a consumer organisation headquartered in St Albans.
It promotes real ale, cider and traditional British pubs and clubs.
The Yorkshire Pub of the Year award was based on quality and choice of real ale, style/decor, service and value.
And the Beer Engine was named as the joint winner alongside Three B’s Micropub in Bridlington.
CAMRA’s Yorkshire Regional Director, Kevin Keaveny, said:
“The result of this year’s competition shows that micropubs continue to be popular with CAMRA members and discerning drinkers.
“We are recognising the efforts made by enthusiastic and hard-working management, and their staff.”

CAMRA groups across the county put forward 17 entries before individual members of a judging panel visited each one over a 4-month period.
The Beer Engine in Skipton has two directors, Adam Davies and Steven Gregory.
It’s a well-established micro-pub with six handpumps. Extended in 2022, the bar now has craft keg fonts.
