Julian Smith is encouraging people of Skipton to nominate social workers for an awards ceremony in October.
The Social Worker of The Year Awards 2025 is a charity event that celebrates the hard work of social workers who make a significant difference in the lives of individuals and communities.
The Social Worker of the Year Awards is free to enter, and nominations are open to the public.
There are 18 categories, including ‘Children’s Social Worker of the Year’, ‘Adult Social Worker of the Year’, and the newly introduced ‘International Social Work Award’ for those making a global impact.
Julian said,
“Social workers across Skipton and Ripon make a real difference to people’s lives every day, often without recognition.
"That is why I am pleased to support the Social Worker of the Year Awards.
"If you know an outstanding social worker, please consider nominating them before the deadline on 27 May.”
The deadline for entries is midnight on Tuesday, 27 May 2025.
Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony in October, held for the first time in Manchester.
